How Do We Ensure Canada's Youth Will Have the Skills They Need For the Future

Dr. Hollis completed her PhD in Physiology and Biochemistry at Western in 2014. She is a Program Support Coordinator with Let’s Talk Science, a national charitable organization committed to inspiring and empowering Canadian youth to develop the skills they need to participate and thrive in an ever changing world.

In this presentation, she will describe how this outreach program helps to build enthusiasm for science in young people, and will demonstrate one of the engaging hands-on activities used to introduce them to computational thinking.
