Rory is a PhD. sociology student at Western who has studied Basic Income systems and their potential fit in Canadian society. His research has incorporated the views of advocates, critics and aid recipients to provide an expert analysis on Basic Income. Rory will provide an overview of Basic Income, how it is different from other systems of social security, dangers to be aware of and a review of the Canadian job market to survey the fit between basic income and our economy. We look forward to this very relevant and timely topic.
There is a room change for this event. It will happen in the Lawson room in the Central public library. You can ask the front desk in the library for directions.
